THERAPY SERVICES

I always want to make sure that my patients at Ogwen Physical Rehabilitation continue to play an active part in their recovery, so they are able to be pain-free when their course of physical rehabilitation is over, regardless of whether they come to me for a one-time treatment or a prolonged course of action. Here are some of the rehabilitation services and treatments you can expect from Ogwen Physical Rehabilitation, based at Bethesda Rugby Club.

SPORTS INJURY

When playing a sport, accidents happen. Whether something goes wrong on the field, or you simply don't realise the extent of your injury until much later, I will always be on hand to ensure you get back to doing what you love as quickly as possible.

ARTHRITIC PAIN TREATMENT

Although arthritic pain tends to affect those of an older generation, it has the potential to affect those of all ages. This type of joint pain really can put a stop to doing the things you enjoy, as it often attacks the fingers, wrists and ankles. Ogwen Physical Rehabilitation is here to help get you moving again.

ELDERLY CARE ASSESSMENT

Over the last 3 years, I have specialized in elderly and geriatric care. This means I am able to help those who have suffered strokes make steps towards recovery, as well as being able to deliver care to those who have MS, mild Dementia and Alzheimer's.

BIOMECHANIC ASSESSMENT

There are lots of different parts of your body that can be affected as you walk, from your feet all the way up to your hips. If you're experiencing pain as you walk, I can perform a biomechanical assessment to really get to the bottom of what might be causing the issue.

WORK INJURY

I hear lots of stories from my patients who sustain injuries whilst at work, from taking an accidental tumble to muscle strain from repetitive bad posture. I'm able to help people suffering from muscle and joint pain from a wide range of causes.

CHRONIC PAIN

Chronic pain, sometimes referred to as fibromyalgia, affects every 1 in 20 people according to recent studies. It is a long-term condition that causes patients to feel pain all over their bodies and experience extreme fatigue. Chronic pain symptoms can be treated with regular therapeutic sessions, and Ogwen Physical Rehabilitation is happy to assist.

A few years ago, I had the privilege of working alongside my friend Carwyn Edwards. Below, you can see a short video of the two of us working on a standing technique at the Holyhead and Anglesey Weight Lifting Gym.
